Pizza hit the town!
In 1952, something new arrived in Marshalltown: pizza. The thin, crispy, Chicago tavern style kind - cut into squares and meant to be shared.
A few years later, Elmer “Zeno” Kluck put his name on the door and a local legend was born. For more than 70 years, Zeno’s has been more than a restaurant. It’s been:
First dates and rehearsal dinners
Post-game celebrations
Birthday parties and retirement toasts
Friday nights turned into lifelong memories
After more than 5 decades of Kluck family ownership, Terry and Jan passed the torch in 2013 to local owners who knew exactly what this place means to downtown Marshalltown. Our promise has always been simple:
Keep the pizza the same
Protect the character
Honor the history
Because you don’t reinvent and institution - you care for it. Around here, we serve the kind of food that feels like home.
Cheers,
